MGS Construction was sole sourced this design-build project to incorporate energy efficient improvements to the 50,000 sq. ft. Dudley Knox Library at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterrey, CA. We replaced the deteriorated light panel system with a new T-bar acoustic panel with a new LED lighting system. Throughout the offices, corridors, storage rooms and work rooms we provided light level reductions by de-lamping fixtures in over lit areas and installed occupancy sensors. MGS also removed and replaced the existing HVAC systems with new energy efficient systems to help reduce environmental impact. The entire duration of this project was completed while the library remained opened to its students. This required efficient coordination among our staff and as always adhering to and exceeding safety standards. MGS Received a Star Safety Excellence Award for this contract.
