This was an emergency project. In May of 2011, a 6 in. fire main under the building ruptured an damaged the electrical system and heaved the concrete floor of the barracks on base. The entire first floor was flooded. Relevant features of work: Full Interior renovations, disconnecting/reconnecting electric, rewiring all the new walls/rooms of the first floor of the barracks (40 rooms), installed new power panels, transformers, safety switches, receptacle, switches, interior lighting, HVAC equipment, plumbing repairs, control systems, replaced telecommunication system, start up, electrical testing and TABS. MGS received “Outstanding” CPAR evaluation from the Navy.
